The blogger's here again. Not much to update, since I haven't been to anywhere special, nor have I done anything unique today besides attending my driving lesson. Switched to a new instructor this week for my 'on - the - road' lessons, and, yeah, so far so good. The progress is pretty all right. Just slightly nervous whenever I hold on to the steering.
"Do you please God, or man?" is one of the questions that is always on my mind, and I'm constantly searching for a firm answer to it.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10
As human beings, we regularly make ourselves please people around us. We want them to like us, or to be happy because we are with them. And eventually, we lose the aim of life and the purpose in it.
"Our aim must be higher than comparing ourselves to others. When we take stock in our own lives, we need to do so in light of Who we are trying to please. As servants of Christ, our only desire should be that of loving as He loved–because He first loved us."
Time to reflect on this, I suppose.
