I was never the 'so-called-bright-or-very-athletic-student' who would be called EVERY single time to go on the stage to receive awards, gifts, or any prizes in particular during assemblies. Especially when I was younger back then. I could (and still can) easily count the number of times I went on the stage to receive prizes in my primary school. It got better (well, slightly) as I grew up. A couple of medals (for tennis. Most of the time for doubles, hahaha), and academic certificates would make my day. I remember that there was once when I got selected as the winner of a lucky draw in school. Science & Math week I think. Or an exhibition. And then I was given a free pencil case, and some stationeries. Funny how free things would actually make me happier.
